My Trip To Yogyakarta City

Hello, In this time i will try to tell you about my trip to Jogjakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. It was one month ago, on November 6th 2014. I was go there with my family, My father-mother-and older sister.

That day was Thursday so i need to skip my school on Friday until Saturday*note: don't try this at home :p

We leave Bandung on Thursday night at 7pm and we started our journey to Jogjakarta by bus. We spend the night with sleeping, both me and my sister always listening music from our handphone using headset.

Finally we are arrived in Magelang, Jogjakarta. First place, We visited Merapi Volcano Mountain in Magelang, Jawa Tengah.

This place was too awesome, we got a offroad tour we rent a jeep car include the driver. And we go to the top of the Merapi mountain to see the recent condition at that place.

After that we continue our trip to hotel because we decided to take a rest first, we felt so exhausted that day.

This is a panorama picture of our room with a beautiful view from the window. We spent 2 night at Melia Purosari Yogyakarta Hotel. have ever been there ? I think this hotel have 6 stars grade hihi :))

By chance our hotel is near to Malioboro, so the next day we decided to visit Marlioboro to buy something stuff and eat at street vendor on Malioboro street.

 

Fried prawns is always be my favorite food !

On Sunday morning, we decided to come back home return to Bandung. I was so happy for spending about 3days in Jogjakarta city eventhough this city always make me so wet because the weather was very hot so different with Bandung. I think it's enough for this time. Global Citizen

Last Thursday Ms. Wiwin assigns us to bring the tools for making posters, and it turns out we will make a poster with the theme of global citizen.

 

The class divided into several groups, and each group need to make their own poster with the same theme Global Citizen.

Let me tell you a little bit about this theme. A global citizen is someone who identifies with being part of an emerging world community and whose actions contribute to building this community's values and practices.

We were so excited because we were interesting in making posters with colorful paper, crayon, marker, etc. Actually at the first, we get confused to started but finally we can finished it with almost perfect.

The Ugly Duckling

This story was made by Hans Christian Andersen in November 11, 1843. It's been a long time ago right ? so I will share you  a one of classic story in the world, enjoy reading! :))

Once upon a time down on an old farm, lived a duck family, and Mother Duck had been sitting on a clutch of new eggs. One nice morning, the eggs hatched and out popped six chirpy ducklings. But one egg was bigger than the rest, and it didn't hatch. Mother Duck couldn't recall laying that seventh egg. How did it get there? TOCK! TOCK! The little prisoner was pecking inside his shell.

"Did I count the eggs wrongly?" Mother Duck wondered. But before she had time to think about it, the last egg finally hatched. A strange looking duckling with gray feathers that should have been yellow gazed at a worried mother. The ducklings grew quickly, but Mother Duck had a secret worry.

 "I can't understand how this ugly duckling can be one of mine!" she said to herself, shaking her head as she looked at her last born. Well, the gray duckling certainly wasn't pretty, and since he ate far more than his brothers, he was outgrowing them. As the days went by, the poor ugly duckling became more and more unhappy. His brothers didn't want to play with him, he was so clumsy,  and all the farmyard folks simply laughed at him. He felt sad and lonely, while Mother Duck did her best to console him.

 "Poor little ugly duckling!" she would say. "Why are you so different from the others?" And the ugly duckling felt worse than ever. He secretly wept at night. He felt nobody wanted him."Nobody loves me, they all tease me! Why am I different from my brothers?"

 

Then one day, at sunrise, he ran away from the farmyard. He stopped at a pond and began to question all the other birds. "Do you know of any ducklings with gray feathers like mine?" But everyone shook their heads in scorn.

"We don't know anyone as ugly as you." The ugly duckling did not lose heart, however, and kept on making inquiries. He went to another pond, where a pair of large geese gave him the same answer to his question. What's more, they warned him: "Don't stay here! Go away! It's dangerous. There are men with guns around here!" The duckling was sorry he had ever left the farmyard.

 Then one day, his travels took him near an old countrywoman's cottage. Thinking he was a stray goose, she caught him.

"I'll put this in a hutch. I hope it's a female and lays plenty of eggs!" said the old woman, whose eyesight was poor. But the ugly duckling laid not a single egg. The hen kept frightening him.

"Just wait! If you don't lay eggs, the old woman will wring your neck and pop you into the pot!" And the cat chipped in: "Hee! Hee! I hope the woman cooks you, then I can gnaw at your bones!" The poor ugly duckling was so scared that he lost his appetite, though the old woman kept stuffing him with food and grumbling: "If you won't lay eggs, at least hurry up and  get plump!"

"Oh, dear me!" moaned the now terrified duckling. "I'll die of fright first! And I did so hope someone would love me!"

Then one night, finding the hutch door ajar, he escaped. Once again he was all alone. He fled as far away as he could, and at dawn, he found himself in a thick bed of reeds. "If nobody wants me, I'll hid here forever." There was plenty a food, and the duckling began to feel a little happier, though he was lonely. One day at sunrise, he saw a flight of beautiful birds wing overhead. White, with long slender necks, yellow beaks and large wings, they were migrating south.

 "If only I could look like them, just for a day!" said the duckling, admiringly. Winter came and the water in the reed bed froze. The poor duckling left home to seek food in the snow. He dropped exhausted to the ground.

However, by springtime and when the duckling saw himself mirrored in the water.

"Goodness! How I've changed! I hardly recognize myself!" The flight of swans winged north again and glided on to the pond. When the duckling saw them, he realized he was one of their kind, and soon made friends."We're swans like you!" they said, warmly. "Where have you been hiding?"

"It's a long story," replied the young swan, still astounded. Now, he swam majestically with his fellow swans. 


One day, he heard children on the river bank exclaim: "Look at that young swan! He's the finest of them all!" And he almost burst with happiness.

Amazing Place

Hello! Welcome back to my 2nd blog, this time I will show you the one place called "Raja Ampat". Do you know that place ? It's located off the northwest tip of Bird's Head Peninsula on the island of New Guinea, in Indonesia's West Papua province, Raja Ampat, or the Four Kings, is an archipelago comprising over 1,500 small islands, cays, and shoals surrounding the four main islands of Misool, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo, and the smaller island of Kofiau.

If we wants to go there we have go to Sorong first because it has Domine Eduard Osok Airport, but Raja Ampat Regency is a new regency which separated from Sorong Regency in 2004. It encompasses more than 40,000 km² of land and sea, which also contains Cenderawasih Bay, the largest marine national park in Indonesia. It is a part of the newly named West Papua (province) of Indonesia which was formerly Irian Jaya. Some of the islands are the most northern pieces of land in the Australian continent.

Interesting activity in Raja Ampat Tourism

If you are interested in visiting the Raja Ampat in Papua, there are various activities you can do there ranging from diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, boat rides up the culinary tour. Pretty cool is not it ?. The first thing that must be done while visiting the island of Raja Ampat is diving. Diving or better known as the diving course is an activity that is challenging and interesting, especially when accompanied by stingrays, turtles and colorful coral reefs. Of course this will be an unusual diving experience. There are at least 537 species of coral and 699 invertebrates that you can find here. As for the security issue, you do not need to be awkward because your diving activities will be accompanied by experts and of course with a very adequate diving equipment so that safety and security is assured.

 

Raja Ampat Tourism is one of the Indonesia tourist destination to be proud, for not only domestic tourists who are interested menyambanginya, but foreign tourists or better known as 'tourists' also flocked to visit. There are intending to visit Raja Ampat Tourism in just for self merefreshkan (recreational), but there is also a reason to visit with education. Some experts Science from abroad even participate directly involved in the dive. They intentionally did this for the purpose development of advanced science and observation.

Not only underwater scenery are amazing, Raja Ampat Papua also has another attraction that is not less special. Some elements also have a big share in compiling the beauty of this tour include a dense forest, a cluster of colorful limestone, rare plant species and also turtle nests on the beach. Of a different atmosphere will be reflected when you eat the seafood accompanied by waves and turtles greet.

A Great Day Of Matswapati

Last Sunday, 27^th September 2014 was held an event called “Matswapati” at Lapangan Bali at Jalan Bali in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This event was presented by 3 Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMAN 3) Bandung (my lovely school^^v). This event presented everything about traditional arts and cultures of West Java. The ticket price was only 25k, was it cheap right? we could saw benjang (traditional martial art of West Java), cepot show (skinned-red, like a puppet show but the story is very funny), merak dance (traditional dance, the costumes like peacock bird), angklung show (traditional musical instruments of West Java) and the guest star was Barsena who's the winner of nez academy and indonesian jazz singer Glenn Fredly! 

Actually, this event began at 7 am with parade activity around Bali Field followed by many participants from elementery school students with unique traditional west java costumes, such as (kebaya), merak tranditional dance costumes, and many more.

Unfortunately, I couldn't come on time. I was sick and feeling not good in the morning. So, I just could see the merry of parade from instagram matswapati account from my handphone.

After that, the opening of the event or open gate by the mayor of Bandung city is Mr. Ridwan Kamil who's graduated from 3 Senior High School Bandung with his wife Mrs.Athalia.

At 11 am, I arrived at venue with my mom by riding motorcycle. It was very hot and sunny. it made us thirsty, so, we came to food area (basketball field). We bought a cup of cendol ( traditional drinks of Bandung/West Java, it's sweet mixed with extract of suji leaf jelly) very delicious! because it's very tasty when we drink during a hot day.

Then, we visited the main venue (football field), we could see there was so many stands who sold traditional arts and games of Jawa Barat cultures. Very interesting, right? :)

Do not miss my class have own stand that have themed Arjuna, we sold postcard, arrows exercise (arjuna mascot carries the arrows right?) and brain teasers/iq games.

Then, I saw a show of calung (traditional music instrument of West Java). those people weren't playing on the stage, but in the field while walking around.

After taking look around, we had to pray dzuhur at Al- Kaustar Mosque at Jalan Sumbawa and came back to the venue and watched MK, (not mahkamah konstitusi =)) but Musik Klasik is an extra curricular in 3 shs it's about classic music and it's gonna be my extracurricular, it has 3 section such as : guitar, drum, violin and bass. That's cool right? ;) )

And I still have the video of them if you want to hear how cool they are!

Around 1 pm I could go outside to have lunch with mom, I decided not to have lunch at food area, because there was no food we wanted, so, we went to Nasi Bakar 15 at Jalan Cimandiri.

Then, we came back to the venue, I was so curious why the gate was being a little bit crowded when we came back to the venue. Besides, the weather it's not too hot while afternoon, after that, I immediately watched cepot show from Wayang Golek Giriharja, the show was very exclaimed. The controller of puppets said silly word in sundanese. I was laughing because the puppets acted so silly.

And I recorded a little bit part of all the funniest part =))

After watching cepot show, I prayed ashr then came back to the field, I was astonished because there's so many people there. at that time, we're waiting for the guest star. before that,  we were watching Indonesia Bamboo Community and KV (kelompok vokal 3 of shs)

While waiting the guest star, I took a selfie with my friends to kept the mood haha =))

 

there were so many people coming to this venue means this event was successful!

 

 

Finally, one of the guest stars came.He was Barsena. We were very happy to hear he singing a song. because his voice was very amazing. we were dazzled with his show, he also sang with KV 2015.

After Barsena show, we prayed Maghrib, then, the real guest star came to Matswapati stage, yeah it's Glenn Fredly. We screamed when he was revealing themselves to us, then we sang together until 8pm.

 

There was the one made me eyed-dazzled, that's the saxophone player, he was very expert to play that instrument. It reminded me with a legendary saxophone player, Kenny G is my idol, I love all his songs.

At the end I took selfie with my classmate, what a great moment. Thank god I had a great day, that's why I named my post "A Great Day Of Matswapati" :)))))))))).
