Angklung For The World !!

 
(Mayor of Bandung City receive a certificate of world record.)


On Thursday 23rd of April, 2015 was held an event in Siliwangi Field, Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia. called "Angklung For The World". This event become a historical day for Bandung city because Bandung can breaks the world record angklung players as many 20,000 people and the mostly students. This event was held in conjunction of the 60th  Asian African Conference. 

 
(Angklung is the traditional music instrument from West Java, Indonesia.)

Angklung is the traditional music instrument from Wast Java, it made from bamboo and have unique voice. Each participant gets one free angklung, Angklung was created by "Saung Angklung Udjo" is one of West Java cultural centers that specialized in producing angklung in Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia.  

(There's almost 20,000 participants lined up to get into the field Siliwangi.)

At 7 pm we walk to the field Siliwangi and wait for 2 hours to be able to get into the field, so many participants that the long queues also adorn the streets. we took a selfie picture while waiting queues.
 

Around 9 o'clock we could get into the field and practice angklung together, the songs we play during the record-breaking event is "we are the world". we really enjoyed it again, although the first time I play angklung together but this was easy because the scout from the front of the stage. 


Although the weather is very hot makes a skin burn, but we feel the unforgettable experience that is participating in the world record. we really liked this activity, met many people from many places, It's really fun!
